Why Haven't I Gotten My Postcard?

In the past, the Suffolk Veterinary Group Animal Wellness & Laser Surgery Center provided timely communications regarding a pet’s preventative care needs using postcards.  Once a month, we would compile a list of all the pets due for preventative care, purchase stamps, purchase the postcards themselves, and then take the time to print, stamp, and send these messages using the U.S. Postal Service.

This method cost us money and time we would rather spend providing your pet with the best medical care possible.  It was also wasteful, as not every postcard reached its intended destination if a family had moved and the postcard could not be forwarded.

In November 2014, we transitioned from these wasteful postcards to an email reminder system that saves on money, time, and the environment.  Through email, we are not only capable of providing you with reminders regarding your pet’s preventative care, but we’re also able to send out notices regarding special offers, clinic news, and coupons for our online pharmacy, all while reducing our reliance on paper products.

This allows us to keep the cost of our veterinary services as low as possible, and for us to continue with our reduce cost Well-Pet Preventative Care Program, since we won’t have to increase our prices every time postage goes up.

Of the 2,025 families we have registered here at the Suffolk Veterinary Group, only 1,257 of them have functional email addresses listed in our secure database.  The remaining 38% of families in our database have an invalid, or no email address, listed.  As such, they have not received their pet’s preventative care reminders.

While we are attempting as a courtesy to our families who may not have an internet connection, to call them personally with a preventative care reminder, our days are primarily dedicated to caring for patients who require medical attention.  We may not be able to contact everyone despite how much we want to.  It is our sincerest apology if you have not received a preventative care reminder for your pet.  We’re doing our best to reach out to everyone, and make sure their pets are scheduled for examination promptly.

If you’re not sure if you have an email address on file on your account at the Suffolk Veterinary Group, call us at 631-696-2400 and our Front Desk team will be happy to confirm your contact information, or to place an email address on file so that you can receive all the benefits our email communication service can offer you and your pet.

Thank you so very much for your understanding and assistance in this matter.  We at the Suffolk Veterinary Group Animal Wellness & Laser Surgery Center look forward to a visit from you and your pet soon to give them a lifetime of preventative wellness!

Testimonial

I want to thank Dr. Winkler and his staff. They are the most compassionate animal care center ever. And when we recently had to put our kitty down, no where else will you receive the compassion they show. God bless them for their kindness and caring hearts.
